Mantosh’s Journey: From Bihar Student to Service Tech Innovator

Mantosh grew up in Bihar as part of a hardworking and supportive family where education and ambition were deeply valued. A final year communication engineering student at Bihar Engineering University, Mantosh was driven by his own experiences and a desire to solve real problems in smaller towns. After facing difficulties finding reliable mechanic services following a bike accident, he was inspired to create Mechanic Bazaar, a digital platform designed to connect users with verified, experienced mechanics and vehicle related services in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

If your car breaks down in a small city, finding a skilled mechanic feels like a gamble—no one knows if the person fixing it is actually trained or just the only option available. That’s the problem I wanted to solve.

We supported Mantosh at a crucial stage of his entrepreneurial journey, helping him bring structure to his idea through mentorship, business modeling, and expert guidance. We emphasized the importance of building the right team and taking a step-by-step approach from concept to execution. Continuous community feedback on his app helped him refine both the technical and business aspects of Mechanic Bazaar, giving him the clarity and confidence to move forward.

Mechanic Bazaar aims to transform how mechanic services are accessed in smaller cities by offering a verified digital directory of skilled professionals. Customers can view a mechanic’s experience, service history, and user ratings before booking; making the process safer, faster, and more reliable. The platform also plans to include features like home service, insurance claim assistance, and driver bookings to bridge the exact gaps Mantosh himself faced during a roadside emergency. With funding from a Bihar government startup scheme currently in progress, his project is steadily gaining momentum.

Mantosh’s journey reflects a deep sense of purpose and determination. In a region where job security is often seen as the ultimate goal, he chose the uncertain but fulfilling path of entrepreneurship. For him, solving everyday problems through innovation is not just a career, it’s a responsibility. As he continues to develop Mechanic Bazaar, Mantosh remains committed to building a meaningful venture while inspiring other young changemakers in his community to think big, act boldly, and create impact.
