We started this journey to solve water problems after experiencing them firsthand while staying in a coastal region. We witnessed the real challenges of water scarcity. Cities offer alternative sources, but coastal and remote regions lack options.
Urban cities can get alternate sources, but coastal regions don’t get that privilege, also alternate sources can be expensive as well. Coastal regions get most affected with contaminated water and scarcity. It motivated us to develop a source to get clean water for coastal regions.

Problem
Problem Water scarcity in coastal regions is challenging to solve as the location is distant from municipalities.
Still, 50% of coastal regions are not equipped with pipeline networks, as centralized solutions are expensive. A local decentralized solution can help communities with contaminated water, reducing health risks and preventing permanent damage to our bodies. People search for a solution that provides reliable water even at peak summers in places where water scarcity is high.
Solution
Solution Cloudee is an innovative, sustainable water treatment solution that mimics the natural water cycle to provide fresh water from saline or polluted sources. With solar radiation, Cloudee’s thermal desalination process efficiently treats effluent water, making it suitable for drinking and other uses. Cloudee aims to solve water scarcity problems, especially in coastal regions, by integrating with existing pipelines and acting as a backup during water shortages caused by climate change.
Cloudee offers a cost-effective, eco-friendly solution to ensure water security with higher water recovery (over 65%) and low capital & operational costs.
We have designed our concentrator system using solar array technology. We are working on a patent that shows we can achieve greater heat output with less surface area. We also incorporate a heat exchanger that facilitates liquid phase change for improved heat transfer and productivity. Additionally, our system includes steam capture and heat recovery to minimize waste and enhance efficiency.

With this product, we can save 100+ million liters of water waste daily, hence less wastage & responsible consumption. Carbon emissions are present with existing solutions and water contamination from waste sources. Industry waste effluents cause more water contamination and livelihood damage for many communities nearby, this solution can turn water sustainable.
A total of ₹ 20 lakhs is needed for the product to meet drinking water needs of 200 people in a community.
