The one who unknowingly set everything into motion, Vivek. It was through his invitation to a hackathon panel in Salem that the first spark was lit. A chance meeting there with two women working on rural water purification became the seed of what would grow into DPurpose Foundation. From that very first step, Vivek wasn’t just a supporter, he was the architect of a vision that gave us our direction, our mission, and our purpose.
True purpose finds strength in those who stand behind it, not for glory, but for good
What made him extraordinary was not just the ideas he brought, but the way he showed up for us time and again. He built bridges where none existed, from connecting us with the United Nations UNLEASH, to opening doors to sponsorships and strategic projects that kept us moving forward. Whether it meant traveling on short notice to take a workshop or sharing contacts that changed the course of our work, Vivek was always there, guiding us with clarity and heart.
He was more than a strategist, he was a mentor, an ambassador, and a friend. He listened, advised, and stood by students as they built their projects, offering insights that turned challenges into growth. Even with his own super busy schedule, he never forgot to check in on us, to remind us to take care of ourselves, and to balance our drive with compassion. He was the go to person to pour all our heart, equal parts professional and personal, making sure we always felt seen, supported, and capable.

For us, Vivek has been the man behind, front, side, and center of the foundation, the constant force holding everything together. His humility, kindness, and relentless belief in our potential have become part of what DPurpose Foundation is today. What began with one small invitation has grown into a movement because of him. And for all the ways he’s lifted us, inspired us, and stood by us, we can only say, thank you, Vivek, for being the heartbeat of our journey.
