Siva’s Journey: From Edtech Visionary to AI Innovator

Siva Nithish Kumar grew up in Tamil Nadu as part of a close-knit family of four. A final year AI and Machine Learning student at Sri Eshwar College of Engineering, Siva was always encouraged by his parents, both traders, to pursue his curiosity and think beyond the classroom. Inspired by late night startup brainstorming sessions with a close friend and the bold vision of Elon Musk, Siva co-founded Extraterrestrials, an AI-powered edtech platform aimed at making quality education accessible in rural areas with limited internet.

Anyone can do service, but to truly make an impact, you need a sustainable plan behind it.

We helped Siva refine his broad initial idea into a focused, scalable solution through tailored guidance from AI and business model experts. Multiple insight sessions and feedback rounds enabled the team to identify one core problem and prioritize a single key feature. This structured approach helped them build a clear, actionable MVP ready for real world testing.

Siva set out to create an education app for rural students with limited internet access. What began as a hackathon idea soon faced real world challenges, as AI models typically need constant connectivity. Undeterred, Siva and his team built a lightweight AI model using region-specific data, enabling offline use. While his teammate handled app development, Siva led backend and AI engineering to ensure smooth performance on basic devices.

Today, Siva is working on upgrading Extraterrestrials by integrating advanced AI tools and preparing the platform for university level pilot testing. The team is focused on gathering user feedback, refining the MVP, and building partnerships with NGOs and educational institutions to scale their impact. For Siva, this project goes beyond technology, it’s about creating something sustainable, inclusive, and deeply rooted in real world needs, with the hope of transforming how education reaches underserved communities.
